Website Design Packages and Pricing
Here are a few of my basic website design packages. Other website and online designs are also available, such as newsletter template design, banner ad design, shopping cart design and setup, and website maintenance. Website Design and HTML Coding
Includes:
- Company and Competitor Research. In this phase, we'll review the Website Design Questionnaire which will provide me with information about your company, target market and how your website can do more for your business than be "just pretty". I'll also do research on your competitors—to make sure that the website that I develop for you is unique and stands out.
- Site Design. The graphic design of one of the pages of the website. In this phase, we will address the visual design of the navigation system, the structure of the navigation system (which links are to be included in the navigation), text styling, and creation of a graphic "frame". I deliver 3-5 initial designs in the first round. Up to 2 rounds of revisions are available in this phase.
- Site Template Coding:
- Web Image Production and Optimization, to ensure that the graphics on the site will be clear and quick-loading.
- Hand-coding of the website in HTML.
- 1 round of revision is available in this phase.
- Full Site Coding, consisting of:
- Web Image Production and Optimization, to ensure that the graphics on the site will be clear and quick-loading, for any additional images in the site.
- Hand-coding of the website in HTML.
- Basic Search Engine Optimization, consisting of taking the keywords you provide and embedding those in the HTML code.
- The site will be coded so that you can maintain it yourself in the future, if you wish. Website maintenance and support are also available at the hourly rate of $125/hour.
- If you just need your newsletter sign-up button integrated into your website from Constant Contact or Email Brain (the two email newsletter services I recommend), I can add that in here as well.
- 1 round of revision is available in this phase.
- Testing of the website on both Macintosh and PC platforms, using major browsers—Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari (Mac only) and Netscape (PC only).
- Launch of the site on the web. The site is transferred via FTP to your website host (I recommend GoDaddy.com or Dreamhost.com), and tested online. A copy of the website can also be emailed to you in a ZIP file for your records.
- Basic Search Engine submission. Your site URL is submitted to Google and Yahoo.
Website design pricing is based on the number of pages and the functionality of the site.
Some rough pricing for an HTML-based site with basic Search Engine Optimization, but no forms or back-end programming:
- 5-page website: $2000
- 10-page website: $2800
- 15 page website: $3500
Hosting costs, shopping cart fees, shopping cart set-up, email forms, domain name registration and newsletter service fees not included. Writing and copyediting also not included.
Website Template Design
The graphic design of the home page and inner page template of the website. We will address the visual design of the navigation system, the structure of the navigation system (which links are to be included in the navigation), text styling, and creation of the graphic border for the site. The graphic elements will match—and enhance—your business's brand and Visual Vocabulary.
You'll first receive 2-3 initial sketches of the inner page. Once the inner page template is selected, the home page will be designed to match. Up to 2 rounds of revisions are available in this project.
Final files will be provided to you as Illustrator files and as GIF files. If your web coder needs an additional file type, then I can export the files to that file type. However, layered Photoshop files are not provided.
Website Template Design: $1500
Blog Design and Setup
Includes:
- Blog header design
- Typepad account configuration
- Setup of blog type styles, background colors, link colors, etc.
- Hooking up a custom domain name to your blog
- Setting up your About page
- Designing your sidebar information
Blog Design and Setup: $950
HTML Newsletter Design
- 2-3 initial sketches and up to 2 rounds of revisions in the sketching phase
- Hand-coding in HTML with up to 1 round of revisions to the HTML template
- Emailbrain.com setup:
- Uploading the HTML and graphics to emailbrain.com
- Setting up the newsletter service
- Includes configuring your emailbrain.com account
- Importing your contacts list
- Setting up "subscribe" and "unsubscribe" messages
- Setup of the newsletter subscribe button on your website
- Setup of your free report "prize" for people to download when they subscribe
