Totally Tots
gets noticed at their first trade show
Tanya Jenkins of Totally Tots, a company that sells hand-crafted baby blankets,
accessories and toys contacted me on a Saturday afternoon.
She had a trade show the following Saturday (one week later!) and wanted to
individualize and strengthen her company's identity for the show. Both
her budget and timeline were limited. She had a
logo for her business that she had been using that was created from clipart.
After speaking wih her about her existing logo, we determined that she
really connected with the type in her existing logo, but that the baby clipart that she
was using needed to be redrawn and changed significantly. So, we focused our efforts on drawing
a baby that looked more realistic and refined, and was happier and more
engaged.
Erin drew a new baby illustration and refined it through several phases, adding in accessories
from Tanya's line and making the baby interact with the company name. Partially
because Tanya was very responsive with her feedback on the logo, it was
finished and approved by Wednesday, and we submitted it to a banner
printer that day.
By the time the trade show started on Saturday, Tanya's booth was set up
with its new banner. Several trade show attendees saw the banner and approached
her to compliment on the logo, and some of those visits turned into sales
for Tanya.
She continues to receive positive feedback on the logo, and her business is
growing.
