Illustrations can be used to explain your process, or the benefits of your product or service. They can also be used as spot art, as a unique alternative to stock photography or an affordable alternative to a custom photo shoot.
As the founder of stargaze family gatherings, I have nothing to offer but praise for Erin Feree. As a non profit organization that heavily relies on donors and pro bono work to accomplish our goals, usually our organization has to accept "volunteer' level quality of work.... this is clearly not the case with Erin. First
and foremost the quality of work she's contributed to date has surpassed the work done by some of our earlier "paid" workers-she's done an amazing job on web design, consulting, user interface work, requirements gathering, design specifications creation, including end to end delivery (artwork AND printing AND delivery of products) for us over the last 3
years. The flyers, artwork, posters, promotional materials, web design and web pages, logo creation... you name it—are the best we've had to date and are hoping that she will continue to work with us in the future. I'll gladly give anyone a specific letter of recommendation or reference addressing the quality of her work.
Above the quality of the actual design work she's delivered for us, we also have been very fortunate to work with a designer with such good communication skills. Whether its helping our teams and directors define their design needs, or approach them in a collaborative, educational tone vs. a condescending m"I'm the expert" tone, she's made it very easy for our resources across the board to work with her
and get a clear idea of what each team wants, what actually makes sense, what's typically effective in bringing draw/ communicating a message / or creating interest... Erin's highly collaborative and patient communication manner makes it EASY for anyone in our organization to work with her.. she's the most highly sought after designer we've ever worked with. If any organization or person needs further reference or specific examples of the great work she's done, and more importantly the "enabling" benefits she's brought to us at a highly professional level when we cant afford to pay professional prices... I'll be glad to elaborate more!
